ImageCome out and golf with Prairie Winds!

Calling all golfers!  You don't need to be a "pro" to take part in this event.
All members of the family, friends, and ability levels are welcome.

  1. Call the King's Deer Pro Shop at 719-559-4500 and ask to reserve your special PWES tee-time.  If you don't have a complete foursome, you will be joined with Prairie Winds friends.
  2. Show up at your assigned tee-time on the 26th, and bring $16.00 per person.  This is a special reduced fee for our school, and includes a cart!  Be sure to wear a collared shirt, please.
  3. Hit the links and enjoy 9 holes with your Prairie Winds family!
This is a family event, so parents or an adult must accompany all children.

Stewardship Station:

Please remember, we are always collecting the following at Prairie Winds:
  • Variety of empty food wrappers, drink pouches, glue sticks & bottles, writing instruments and ziplock bags for the TerraCycle program sponsored by Mrs. Shindel’s and Mrs. Jones’ 4th grade classes.
  • Used/broken small electronics, laptops & inkjet/toner cartridges for the EcoBuddies program sponsored by Mrs. Martinez’, Mrs. Saccuman’s and Mrs. Skabo’s 5th grade classes.
  • Old batteries: keeps these dangerous items out of our landfills.
  • Children’s books!  Bring a book, take a book at the Little Lending Library in the Commons area.  A great way to pass along all of those books you have outgrown to a new reader.
Please feel free to collect items at home, and drop them off at the front office, or send in anytime with your child.    Thank you for helping support our students in their commitment to being good stewards of the planet.

If you need any additional information regarding our collection programs, please contact the front office, or look in the information rack outside the office.

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.
