Book Fair
  Scholastic Fall Book Fair

The Fair will operate from October 12th - October 15th during the following times:

Monday:                   9:00am – 4:30pm
Tuesday:                  9:00am – 4:30pm
Wednesday:              9:00am - 7:00pm (P/T Conferences)
Thursday:                9:00am - 6:00pm (P/T Conferences)

We need volunteers to work during the Fair and break down afterwards.  This is a fun event to help with so if you can volunteer, please sign up here to choose a time that works for you.
Students can preview books at the fair and make wish lists, or bring money/checks (made out to PWES PTO) directly to the Fair. There will also be Classroom Wish Lists for donating books to individual classrooms.
During the Book Fair there will be several fun opportunities for you or your child to make library donations, including a change collection contest between Houses, poster raffle, and guessing jars.   In addition, Scholastic will match our All-For-Books donations dollar for dollar to provide books to non-profit organizations. You can help through our pencil/bookmark pull, or by rounding-up your purchase at the register.
If you can’t come to the Fair you can shop online from October 8-October 23 here.

Thank you for supporting our PWES library, our classroom libraries, and our children’s love of reading!

If you have any questions, please contact the Book Fair Committee via Jodi Delnickas at jodi.delnickas@comcast.net or 719-375-0400.

  PWES Families!
The 5th grade classes of Mrs. Shindel and Mrs. Saccuman are again managing the TerraCycle program at PWES.  TerraCycle is a company that collects difficult-to-recyle packaging and products and repurposes the material into affordable, innovative products.  They are eliminating the idea of waste!

PWES receives points for all of the items that are sent to TerraCycle.  The 5th graders have decided as a group to use the points that are earned to fight climate change, by supporting Carbonfund.org's innovative projects that are reducing carbon emissions worldwide.

Would you be willing to help the 5th graders by collecting TerraCycle items at home?  These items will be collected for the entire school year.  When your collection bag is full, please send the items to school with your child, and feel our gratitude!
Thank you for supporting citizenship in our children!
