Find your HAPPY at our Barnes & Noble Book Fair!

We are excited to host our PWES spring book fair at Barnes & Noble again this year!  The day will be filled with fun activities:

10:30 Kindergarten Performance
11:00 Book signing by our very own mathmatics author Peter Wise!!
1:00 Midi guitars performance
1:20 Choir performance

We have such great fun doing this fair every year, and it's even better that it benefits all of our kids with books for our library!  We hope to see all of your smiling faces sometime throughout the day; it's awesome to see the PWES spirit wear fill up the store, so be sure and wear yours!

Educators (from any school!) will receive 25% off purchases!

This is a community event, so tell your friends, families, and businesses.  We even receive a portion of online sales from long-distance supporters who mention PWES!  Anyone can support our school and Barnes & Noble has EVERYTHING that could make you happy!

Purchases contributed to PWES:  April 18th - 23rd
Shop in store or visit BN.COM/bookfairs
Remember:  Tell the register your purchase goes to PWES!  ID# 11577426

Stewardship Station:

Please remember, we are always collecting the following at Prairie Winds:
  • Variety of empty food wrappers, drink pouches, glue sticks & bottles, writing instruments and ziplock bags for the TerraCycle program sponsored by Mrs. Shindel’s and Mrs. Jones’ 4th grade classes.
  • Used/broken small electronics, laptops & inkjet/toner cartridges for the EcoBuddies program sponsored by Mrs. Martinez’, Mrs. Saccuman’s and Mrs. Skabo’s 5th grade classes.
  • Old batteries: keeps these dangerous items out of our landfills.
  • Children’s books!  Bring a book, take a book at the Little Lending Library in the Commons area.  A great way to pass along all of those books you have outgrown to a new reader.
Please feel free to collect items at home, and drop them off at the front office, or send in anytime with your child.    Thank you for helping support our students in their commitment to being good stewards of the planet.

If you need any additional information regarding our collection programs, please contact the front office, or look in the information rack outside the office.

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.
